This Colonial Revival home offered beautiful architectural bones, abundant natural light, and a gracious layout—but the interiors felt dated and overly formal for the way the homeowners live today. Our goal was to honor the home’s traditional character while introducing a lighter, more modern sensibility that feels calm, inviting, and effortlessly livable. Through a refined palette, layered textures, and tailored details, we softened the formality of the existing architecture and brought warmth and cohesion across the main living spaces.

Wyn Design Co. led the interior design refresh, including concept development, finish selections, custom millwork details, lighting design, and full FF&E for the kitchen-adjacent living areas, breakfast nook, and primary living room. The scope included reimagining key gathering spaces to feel more connected and functional, introducing contemporary lighting and furnishings, and balancing classic elements—like arched windows and traditional trim—with clean-lined, modern forms. Material selections focused on a timeless mix of soft neutrals, warm woods, subtle stone, and thoughtful metal accents.

The result is a home that feels both elevated and approachable: classic in its foundation, modern in its expression, and tailored to support everyday living as well as entertaining. This refresh reflects our studio’s belief in designing spaces that respect architectural heritage while evolving homes to meet the rhythms of modern life.
